This TVLP competition ran in February 2021 to showcase and celebrate the baking abilities and creative skills of students from across our schools.
The theme was ‘Spring’.
Entries from 13 pupils at Holyport College, The Langley Academy, Slough & Eton Church of England Business & Enterprise College, St Joseph’s Catholic High School, St Mary’s School Ascot, and The Windsor Boys’ School were shortlisted for judging. All of these are included in the competition video below.

OVERALL WINNER: Aiza Rashid, The Langley Academy.
This cake was selected as the winning entry and stood out to our judge, Lady Waldegrave of North Hill, OBE, as it was “sensationally pretty and exceptionally professional”.
Congratulations to Aiza for winning this competition.
RUNNER UP 'COMMENDED' ENTRIES:

- A three layer vanilla cake with hand-made decorations. “So pretty and spring like. Very beautifully executed”

- A triple tier vanilla sponge cake with lemon buttercream icing, topped with sugar fondant flowers. “Beautiful cake and says everything about the spring”
OUR COMPETITION JUDGE:
We would like to thank our judge, Lady Waldegrave of North Hill, OBE, who is the author of several cookery books including Leith’s Cookery Bible, and the owner of Dudwell Cookery School in Somerset.
Lady Waldegrave had the difficult task of choosing a winner. Her assistance and expertise is greatly appreciated.
